Our Team

Before we work together you would probably like to know something about me. With my two girls graduated from University and pursuing their respective careers in Toronto and California, I am adapting to an empty nester lifestyle in my home on the Springs Golf Course in Radium Hot Springs. From here I can pursue my two main passions in life: golf and real estate.

Yes, real estate really is a passion for me. I have been involved in all aspects of it for over 33 years now and I still love it. Since graduating with a Commerce degree from University of Alberta in 1977, I spent 5 years as a commercial REALTOR in Edmonton, followed by 10 years of commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions in Phoenix Arizona. In 1991, I returned to Invermere, my childhood summer home, where I have focused on residential real estate for the past 20 years.

Throughout my career I have invested in all aspects of real estate including developing a shopping centre, building spec homes and buying land and buildings for long term investments. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide-range of clients, matching properties to families, passionate entrepreneurs like Kicking Horse Coffee, and even some of my hockey heros.

While in Invermere, I started the Royal LePage Rockies West Realty firm which grew from 2 people to 20 in the course of 12 years. Along the way I achieved a goal that most would say was impossible: I produced a large enough volume of sales to become listed in the top 1% for Royal LePage nationally in 2005. In 2007, I sold the company and went to work for Coldwell Banker Windermere Valley Realty in 2009. Without a business to manage, I have more time to pursue my passions and provide more personalized service for my many clients. I hope that you can become one of them in the near future.

Let me tell you about myself so you can get acquainted with both sides of the “Newhouse Connection”. I am almost considered a “local” as I have lived in the Valley for over 25 years raising my two children (and now grandchild) here. I love our small town atmosphere and enjoy the active valley lifestyle of biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and running (I leave the golfing to Ross).

I have a wealth of experience in the real estate world to offer to our clients. When I moved to the Valley, I changed careers from registered nursing to legal real estate conveyancer, and have been working in this field for over 20 years. As a conveyancer, I worked on many real estate transactions with Ross and was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the real estate world. This prompted my decision to join his company as office administrator and bookkeeper. Ross and I then decided we would make a great real estate team, so I obtained my real estate license and became Ross’s licensed assistant and then his associate. With this type of background, I know what needs to be done both from a real estate office perspective and a legal perspective. I enjoy meeting and working with people and my goal is to make you feel welcome and relaxed knowing that I will be attending to all the small details and ensuring that things are being done right.

Ross and I each have our own unique strengths and areas of expertise which we feel creates the perfect partnership and allows us to give the best service possible to all our clients. We are confident that when you work with us, as either a buyer or a seller, that you will agree!
